It's “That Guy… Who Was in That Thing” meets "WTF" but with people even less well known! Sure it's fun to interview the crazy famous and ask them about the difficult years, but that's been done. Memories are plastic - we're getting the real dirt from people still crawling through it. Laura Scruggs is the playwright and Jake Scruggs is the technical guy who listens to a lot of “This American Life” and thinks that qualifies him to interview people.

In this hostful episode we recap our current status and share some personal drama. With an awkward reenactment. It gets intense.

0:00:47 Nilsa Reyna: Wearer of "The Poof Most Regal". Nilsa and Bryn explain.

0:02:55 Bryn's show has opened (and just closed by the release of this podcast). Here is a short behind the scenes video (http://youtu.be/v0l671JadPs) and a longer version of the video.

0:07:50 The first quarter has been slow and Bryn is freaking out about money.   Bryn and Nilsa are at the start of their agent search and casting director relationship building.

0:19:20 Laura was very inspired by a kids show called The Tomato Queen (http://questensemble.org/current.php)

0:24:37 We have a brief discussion of "over-the-top" entertainment. Check out the Signature Theatre's production of Charles Mee's "Big Love" (http://www.signaturetheatre.org/tickets/production.aspx?pid=3764).

0:28:30 Laura's solo show "Punk Grandpa" returns March 13 at David Boyle's Chicago Solo Theatre (https://www.facebook.com/ChicagoSoloTheatre).

0:30:52 Things have not been slow for Nilsa! More work at Hogwarts! And she's hired a writing coach (April Yvette Thompson - https://www.aprilyvettethompson.com/ ) as she works on the second draft of "The Care I Need".

0:36:49 Nilsa has also updated her website (http://www.nilsareyna.com), and gotten more auditions and a booking!

0:40:10 And then she sprained her ankle… and drama ensued with Bryn… and we share that drama with you, dear listener. Buckle-up.There may even be an awkward reenactment.
